Widevine is Google's DRM system available as two version which we both provide licensing for: Modular and Classic.

Widevine Modular

Widevine Modular succeeds the previous Classic version, and supports open standards such as Common Encryption (CENC) with MPEG-DASH.

Widevine Classic

Widevine Classic is a proprietary DRM scheme from Google used for live, on-demand, and downloaded content. It requires content to be packaged in Google’s own specific format. Widevine Classic is being replaced by Modular in many consumer devices and platforms.

  • Widevine (.WVM)

  • Android (3.0+)
